Challenging ourselves to see a better outcome...

Lately i've been reading about America having the largest obesity rate in the world.  So i started thinking to myself what can i do to decrease atleast 1% of this rate and i plan on challenging myself to atleast 20-30 min of working out atleast everyday.  When i lost my mother at the age of 62 it was from various health issues, and i don't want to leave my children behind because of my lack of taking care of myself.  So lately i've been trying to work out twice a day, so each day i plan on doing something whether it be riding a bike, walking, aerobics, low/high impact training.  I must fight to Live and not Die, so i challenge all of you to change the ratio one step at a time.

Hi my name is Tasha and i'm lazy!!!

Definition for Lazy
- not wanting to work: unwilling to do any work or make an effort
- conducive to idleness: contributing to an unwillingness to work or make an effort
- slow: moving slowly

Well isn't that what they say in AA the first step is to admitting the truth.  Well i'm an admitter because i have been slacking lately on my aerobic workouts.  Althought i am an aerobic instructor i have been very lazy lately only because the gym that i have been teaching at closed the gym down due to the whole gym floor needing to be done over.

Just when i was getting into the groove of things, so the gym has been closed since december so let's just say i worked out only 3-4 times out of the month of December.  So i have decided to start looking at things that i like.  If anyone knows me they know that i get bored easily, so if i keep doing the same old thing repetively then i'm done!  No more for me because i'm bored.  With all that being said i have to really start deciding what can i do to get my exercise in, well i like Dancing so maybe i should find something that incorporates dance into aerobics because that is one thing that i am never bored with.  Who knows i guess time will definately tell if i don't get up and start moving my butt surely will.
Well this was just a first step for me admitting my problem, and knowing that i need to step it up...
Sincerely Tasha

Practice makes a difference!!!

So last week i started my first Aerobic class, and when i started i was so nervous...why because i was the TEACHER!!!!  I took this instructors class in July 2010, passed the class and all, then in august, september, and october i just got so lazy and decided i don't think i want to do this.  That's right my whole $199 gone down the drain.  But low and behold they were not willing to give up on me, so they "volunteered" me for the position because i stayed so close to the recreation center.  So i gave in, so i'm saying to myself "durn now i got to pull out these instructor tapes and start learning these routines" uggghhh....But being lazy taught me one thing, to never wait until 2 days before the class to learn the routines, oh my gosh....so i am doing the 3 out of 15 songs, and i'm so nervous that i am messing up but not alot, and the class is helping me remember the steps, now if that ain't embarrasing....So i decided after class that i would practice that whole week until the following Thursday, and when this past Thursday came, i was on it, and i had my stuff down pack....BooYAH!!!!
